Last night’s AEW Dynamite was packed with high-energy action and some truly shocking moments that had the crowd on their feet from start to finish. From the opening matches to the main event, every bout felt important, with wrestlers really bringing their A-game. The atmosphere in Sacramento was electric, and you could tell everyone in the arena was buzzing about what might happen next. Outside the ring, AEW also took a heartfelt moment to honor longtime director Kerwin Silfies, which added a touching layer to the night.
The women’s division stole the show early on with a chaotic four-way match for the AEW TBS Championship. Willow Nightingale faced off against Mina Shirakawa, Marina Shafir, and Megan Bayne, and she proved why she’s one of the top stars in AEW. After a fast-paced, back-and-forth battle, Nightingale hit her finisher and retained the title, keeping her momentum strong and sending a clear message to anyone thinking about challenging her anytime soon.
Tag team action was equally impressive. Orange Cassidy and Tomohiro Ishii teamed up to take down The War Dogs, giving fans a thrilling mix of stiff strikes and clever teamwork. Later, The Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor & Jamie Hayter) made a statement by defeating B3CCA & Viva Van, showing off their chemistry and dominance as one of the top tag teams in the company right now.
The tension between MJF and “Hangman” Adam Page reached a boiling point on last night’s Dynamite, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most personal rivalries heading into Revolution. After Hangman earned his title shot by defeating Andrade El Ídolo at Grand Slam Australia, he challenged MJF to a Texas Death Match, one of the most brutal stipulations in wrestling. Even more dramatic, if Hangman loses, he will never challenge for the AEW World Championship again. MJF played his usual mind games, taunting Page and acting unbothered, but the tension in the arena made it clear: this feud is now a career-defining moment with massive implications for both men.
The night ended with the biggest shock of all: Swerve Strickland defeating Kenny Omega in the main event. The match itself was a rollercoaster, full of hard-hitting moves and drama, but the real story came after the bell. Strickland turned heel in a big way, attacking Omega with a chain and putting him through a table with a vertebreaker. It was one of those moments that makes you sit up and take notice—clearly signaling that the road to AEW Revolution is going to be intense.
