According to a report, longtime Eagles' special teams coach, Dave Fipp will be leaving to join Duce Staley with the coaching staff in Detroit.

Fipp has been with the Eagles dating back to the Chip Kelly days, starting in 2013. New Eagles HC Nick Sirianni allowed Fipp look for a job somewhere else.

According to long-time NFL writer Rick Gosselin’s annual special teams rankings, the Eagles ranked 17th in the league this year.

They ranked 1st in 2014, 5th in 2015 and 1st in 2016 before falling to mediocrity over the past few seasons -- 13th in 2017, 14th in 2018, 15th in 2019.

Fipp will be joining Dan Campbell's Detroit Lions staff, along with Duce Staley, as well as former Eagles center Hank Fraley.
