LT Andre Dillard Suffers Season-Ending Injury

Updated: Aug 28, 2020

More bad news out of Eagles’ camp today. Andre Dillard suffered a biceps injury in practice today. Surgery will be needed and he has been ruled out for the season, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported today.

This is a tough break for last year’s first round pick. A huge blow to an offensive line that already enters the season with All-Pro Right Guard, Brandon Brooks on the IR, with a torn Achilles.

It seems highly likely Jason Peters will be moved back to Left Tackle. Leaving a hole at Right Guard, the front runner to fill in should be Matt Pryor. With Dillard and Brooks both being on IR, the projected starting offensive line could be:

LT: Jason Peters

LG: Isaac Seumalo

C: Jason Kelce

RG: Matt Pryor

RT: Lane Johnson

This is obviously a bad situation for the Eagles entering the season, but also a reality of life in the NFL. This team has had a knack for overcoming injuries and adversity like no other under the guidance of HC Doug Pederson, but this is not news fans want to hear.
