Over the summer, I have started betting on the DraftKings Sportsbook app. Very often, I place bets on NFL games. If you ever feel very strongly about your “betting feelings” on the Eagles, I’m here to reaffirm you of your confidence.
Some of my favorite bets to place are prop bets. These are bets that feel much more predictable in my mind than the outcome of a game. This week, here’s what I like:
PLAYER PROPS I LIKE:
Darius Slayton to score: +240
I still have PTSD of Darius Slayton when he scored 2 TDs in the Eagles OT win last year. I’m shaky about his line in passing yards, however. He has hovered around 50 this year. With Sterling Shepard likely playing and with the Eagles having a propensity for WR having career days, it’s too unpredictable for my taste. But, I like the value here.
Carson Wentz 249.5 passing yards: -112
OVER
Carson has only gone over 249.5 twice this year. So, I’m not crazy about this line as much. However, tonight’s game is trending to be a heavy pass day for the Eagles with several injuries in the trenches and Miles Sanders out. Doug Pederson must be thrilled.
Carson Wentz 1.5 TD Passes: -105
OVER
Carson is 3/6 on this line this year. Since I believe it’ll be a pass heavy day, with Carson trending upward in October, I’m taking the over.
Carson Wentz 17.5 rushing yards: -105
OVER
Ever since the outrage of letting Carson loose from the pocket, Wentz has been over 3/4 straight games. I like his chances, tonight, as much of the game will depend on him extending plays.
