Fantasy Football: Week 1 Plays

We are literally only a few days away from the first Sunday of football season! Which means one thing.... the daily fantasy football grind begins again.

I will be giving my weekly plays all season long. Those players to stay away from. And a few names that could be great value plays. If you followed my www.lastoutmedianetwork.com content on fantasy golf, you know I have a really high success rate of cashing week in and week out. That is the key, make money each week, and hope for the one or two big cashes throughout the season.

Week one has always been a tough week to judge. You really are not sure where teams will go with touches. You do not know how the new free agent signings and rookies will fit into their new systems. That is why, week 1, means going with consistent players and players with not too much bust potential. Let things fall into place before you start taking chances.

Matt Ryan ($6700) is my favorite QB this week. He plays a Seattle team at home. Ryan is the model of consistency in fantasy football and has weapons in Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley to throw too. He is a near lock to throw for 275-315 yards every single week. He will not turn the ball over often. He will continue that trend this week with another great start to the season.

If picking Ryan as your QB, you build a small stack (picking your QB's best weapons) around him with Calvin Ridley ($6100) and Hayden Hurst ($4300). Ridley is a great play as he does not come with the higher price that Julio Jones does. Hurst was given a big deal in the off-season to join the Falcons and I expect Ryan to look his way often and start building that relationship quickly.

Desean Jackson is a steal at ($4900) this week. Week 1 last season against the exact same Washington Football Team he posted a stat line of 8 receptions, 154 yards, and 2 TD's. He had an instant connection with Carson Wentz and although the season pretty much ended the following week with injuries, he seems healthy and ready to role week 1.

I am avoiding all of the Arizona Cardinals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in week 1. The Cardinals have to face one of the top Defenses in the league in San Francisco. Tampa Tom has brought a lot of hype to the Buccaneers but until I see him perform better than last season, I will stay away from the entire roster.

Cam Newton ($6100) is the other player to watch. If I was taking a chance week 1, that would be where I would look. Cam Newton has looked good by all accounts and has taken over as the team captain. He is ranked 10th in price on DraftKings this week and facing a weak Dolphins defense.

As always have fun... and MAKE SOME MONEY!
