Training camp has just started and members of the team are already injured, namely FA signing DT Javon Hargrave and contract year DE Derek Barnett.

If Hargrave and Barnett were to miss week one vs Washington Football Team, the projected starting defensive line could be:
DE: Brandon Graham
DT: Fletcher Cox
DT: Malik Jackson
DE: Vinny Curry
Signing Vinny Curry can prove to be a good signing if both players do miss time as he can move inside as well. The injuries makes the performance of Josh Sweat, Genard Avery, and Shareef Miller all the more important.
This is not a great start for Derek Barnett, who needs to put together a healthy season if he wants a contract extension. The Eagles were hoping newly acquired Javon Hargrave would line up next to Fletcher Cox and pose one of the more dominant interior groups in the NFL.
For now that will have to wait.
Perhaps the Eagles are just being cautious, but this is not the start fans were hoping for.
