C Jason Kelce coming back for 2021

Jason Kelce has announced he will be back with the Eagles for 2021. Kelce made it official on his Instagram.

Kelce, 33, who has been an Eagle since he was drafted in the 6th round in 2011will be back for his 11th season in midnight green. Kelce, a four-time pro bowler including the past two seasons and a three-time 1st-team All Pro (2017-2019) provides valuable on-field and locker room leadership for a young team.

This is exciting news since it has been up in the air whether he would decide to retire or not. Before the restructure, Kelce was scheduled to have a $5.5 million base salary in 2021 with a cap hit of $8.4 million. This is expected to lower his salary cap hit due to the Eagles paying him a bonus.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the deal is worth up to $12 million.

Kelce has a chance for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and playing at least one more season will only strengthen his chances of getting in.
