Sidney Jones has missed recent training camp practices, is his roster spot in jeopardy?
The Eagles selected CB Sidney Jones in the second round of the 2017 NFL draft, but they have not gotten second-round production out of him.
He has missed a total of 26 games since being drafted.
To his credit he has worked his way back from a torn Achilles in a pre-draft workout, but now in his fourth season, the Eagles need him to start producing consistently.
He did show improvement in the 2019 season and even had a game-winning pass deflection in the Week 16 game vs Dallas.
As with previous seasons, Sidney Jones is on the injury report and has missed the last 4 training camp practices.
More troubling is the fact that the Eagles just re-signed CB Trevor Williams to the team.
Does the signing mean that the injury to Sidney Jones is more serious than the team is letting on?
Could the team look to move him in a trade?
Whatever the case may be, the fact is that Sidney Jones needs to be able to get on the field and perform or else he may be on a different team in the near future.
