Breaking: Union II Finalizing Loan for Defensive Midfielder

AAT’s Jose Nunez brought light to a tweet that was first mentioned by @SoB_Evan. Sources have since confirmed that Union II are finishing a loan for Noah Probst of FC St. Gallen 1879, a club in the Swiss Super League.

As tweeted by Jose, “In the 2024 season, Probst made 28 appearances and logged 2,047 minutes across all competitions, primarily with the U21 side. He made his senior team debut on October 20, 2024”.

If FC St Gallen sounds familiar, that may be because of former Union midfielder, Tranquillo Barnetta. He spent three seasons with the Swiss club from 2016-2019.

The Summer window is approaching in 10 days, and many fans are hoping that Tanner adds an attacking midfielder to the first team. In the meantime, it’s nice to see a 20 year old, 6’2” defensive midfielder added to our youth.
