A Mid-Season Eagles Mock Draft

Eagles have played 9 games so far this season, but it is not too early to think about the 2021 Draft, especially with how they have been playing. Who could the Eagles target with their selections? Here is the Mid Season Mock Draft.

Round 1 - CB Paulson Adebo- Stanford

Eagles have a few areas of need this offseason, but Philadelphia needs to address Cornerback. Darius Slay is 30, Robey-Coleman and LeBlanc are both on 1-year deals so the depth seems thinner. Can you really rely on Avonte Maddox as CB2? Adebo is a long CB (6-1 192) who is physical and is willing to tackle and has good instincts and ball skills which the Eagles need in a cornerback.

Round 2 - WR Chris Olave - Ohio State

Eagles drafted Jalen Reagor in round 1, but adding offensive weapons should be a must anytime a player like Olave is available. Eagles will most likely part ways with Alshon and DeSean, while young players like Reagor, Fulgham and Hightower will be on roster. Olave is very talented playing outside or slot receiver and has the knack to make great plays, while having the speed to stretch defenses.

Round 3 - DE Victor Dimukeje - Duke

Derek Barnett is owed 10 million next season, Brandon Graham will be 33 years old. Eagles need to add some pass rushers and Dimukeje is smaller but has the BG build (6-2 265) and a power DE who has improved every year at Duke.

Round 5 - RB Jaret Patterson - Buffalo

Miles Sanders has been good this year, but behind him there has been inconsistency with Scott, Clement and Huntley. A powerful runner like Patterson (5-9 195) is what Eagles have missed behind MIles like they have had in recent seasons.

Round 5 - CB/S Kary Vincent Jr - LSU

I have said it early in this post but the Eagles need all the secondary help they can get. Vincent has played multiple positions in the secondary and Philadelphia could be looking at possibly replacing 2-3 starters in 2021.

Round 6 - DT Phidarian Mathis - Alabama

MARVIN GENTRY - USA TODAY SPORTS

The Salary Cap issues will most likely see Malik Jackson a casualty of that this offseason, and the subpar performance of your 39 million dollar man Javon Hargrave makes DT depth a must. Mathis is a physical stout (6-4 312) lineman that could help out a unit needing some youth.

Round 7 - TE Cary Angeline - NC State

Zach Ertz has looked out of sorts this season and looking for a new contract which I feel will not happen in Philadelphia. Goedert and Rodgers look to be TE1 and TE2, but adding a big target like Angeline (6-7 250) who has averged over 15 ypc in his 3 years at NC State is a flier in the 7th. You cannot teach size and he is more a receiver than blocker but has size to become a help in the run game.
