According to ESPN writer Tim McManus and league sources, Philadelphia Eagles safety Marcus Epps has tested positive for the coronavirus. Early on Thursday morning the team received a confirmation of a positive test and Epps went into self isolation after receiving the test results. Philadelphia is now in the NFL's intensive protocols and they are also on a bye week coming off of a win over their most hated rival of all the Dallas Cowboys. Marcus Epps is in his second season in the league after being drafted by the Minnesota Vikings and has had twelve tackles this season.
We wish Epps a speedy recovery and hopefully he can return to action as soon as he recovers from the virus. COVID-19 has affected sports so much since March and I think we are very lucky to have football in general because it could have been a lot worse. The coronavirus is a big deal, but we do need to get way more fans in the stands than we already have because it just does not feel the same with limited capacity.
